| WORCHESTER AVE. SMOKE AND A BURN PATIENT |
8/24/2006 - Box 44-2. 102 Worchester Ave for smoke in a structure and a burn victim. County advised a malfunctioing air freshener. Chief 44 arrived and found the victin with burns on her hand and foot and found that wax was being melted on the stove and spilled. The appartment was charged with smoke. PPV was used to clear. Patient was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.  |

UPDATE--- UPDATE---UPDATE----
Lawnton Fire Company has received a bunch of the applications for the PA Fire Fighter 1 Certification. We will be filling out our applications on TUESDAY AUGUST 29TH @ 1800 AT STATION 44 so they can be submitted for the upcoming Fire Fighter 1. Please bring all of your certifications along with you so it will be easier to copy what is needed to sit for the exam.
The test will be held on October 20th and 21st at HACC. If you would like to join us or need one, please stop by the station or see an officer.
Lawnton will be planning a review session for this test at then end of September and in the month of October also. Please check the web site for dates and times because they will be posted in the next few days.
Please let us know if you are interested in taking this review class with us ASAP.

STRAY CAT FINDS THE 44 HOUSE |
| 8/03/2006 - Assistant Chief Stuckey and the guys found a stray cat hanging around the front of the station after the meeting tonight. Cat does have a flea collar and is declawed. One of the members took the cat home to give it food and a home until we can find the owners. If you are missing this cat please contact the fire house at 564-6819. |

MEDIC 456-5 INVOLVED IN MVA |
| 8/01/2006 - Swatara EMS Medic 456-5 was involved in a T-Bone MVA while responding to another medical emergency on Rt 441 and Mall Road. The Medic Supervisor driving the unit and driver of other vehicle were both transported to local hospitals. Rescue 44 remained on the scene to assist Company 43. |

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT |
| 8/01/2006 - Swatara Township hosted the National Night out at Venetta Park tonight and appeared to be a huge success even though the temperatures were very warm. Swatara Township Police, Swatara Township Fire Companies, Swatara EMS and Stat Medivac were all part of this event. A few of our members were even involved in some of the demonstrations that the police department put on. Thank you to everyone for attending and we look forward to seeing you next year. |
