| 9/25/2006 - Thank you to the Texas Roadhouse and to all that came out tonight and supported us. We all hope each and everyone of you had a great time because WE ALL DID! As of right now, we do not know the total of what we made, but the staff said it was a great night. We will update the website as soon as we know. Thank you to the staff of the Texas Roadhouse for all they did and especially for the gift certificate for the dinner for 2. The winner will be drawn at our October Fire Company Meeting which is on Thursday October 5th at 7:00PM. The winner will be contacted by a member of the department. AGAIN, THANK YOU! LAWNTON MEMBERS COMPLETE VEHICLE RESCUE OPS |
| 9/21/2006 - Tonight Company 44 members completed the Vehicle Rescue Operations class at H & S Towing in Grantville, PA. This training will lead to further State certifications in Vehicle Rescue. Congrats to all who participated in this training. Joining Lawnton members were members from Millersburg, Paxtang, Enhaut, Oberlin, Union Deposit and Grantville. Thanks to Paxtang, Grantville and Union Deposit for the use of their apparatus. |

9/15/2006 - Please come and join us at the Texas Roadhouse located at 3529 Union Deposit Road between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM on Monday September 25th. Please present your server with a card which can be picked up at the firehouse or from one of the members. If you can not stop at the station please print out a copy of the card that is attached by clicking on the card and then clicking on the 1 in lower right corner. This will bring up a picture of the card and you can print this and bring it with you. The Lawnton Fire Company will receive 10% of your dinner bill for that day. ENGINE 44 RESCUES A RED TAIL HAWK |
| 9/12/2006 - A civilian stopped at the station and asked for the assistance in rescuing a red tail hawk. Engine 44 arrived to find the hawk (a pet) hanging upside down from the leather straps on its tallons. The crew attempted to us a 35’ ladder and was about 10’ short. Engine 44 was backed up to the wooded area and extended out 85’ to make the rescue. The hawk was stressed but would recover. |

| 9/12/2006 - Lawnton , Paxtang and Rutherford Fire Companies are taking the Basic Ropes and Rigging Class this week taught by State Instructor Floyd Wise III. Class was on Tuesday, and Thursday at Station 44 and on Sunday the 13th we will be at HACC for our hands on evolutions. We are learning a lot and working very well together. Here are a few pictures from training on Thursday. |

| 9/09/2006 - Company 44 was dispatched for a MVA with injuries. While en-route the box was upgraded to entrapment. Company 44 arrived and there was negative entrapment R42 was placed in service. Members assisted the EMS with patient packaging and clean up. |

| 9/05/2006 - The Lawnton Fire Company hosted a Cutters Edge Saw training. Rutherford, Bressler, and Chambers Hill fire companies attended bringing the total number of firefightes in attendance to 42. Great school thanks to all of the attendies. |

| 9/05/2006 - COMPANIES 44,45 AND 40 SPENT THE EVENING A HACC TRAINING GROUNDS DOING RUN INS, ENTRY, AND SET UP. ALL COMPANIES GOT THE CHANCE TO WORK OFF THE QUINT, USE HAND LINES, PUMP, AND OF COURSE REPACK AND DO IT ALL AGAIN. IT WAS A GOOD TIME AND MANY LESSONS WERE LEARNED. |
